An officer conducting a security check at the Kangaroo Store, located at 1517 Idlewild Avenue just after 2:00 am, was notified by the clerk of a male and female who had been in the store and became nervous when the officer entered the property. He said the pair had left the store.

The officer made contact with the pair at Idlewild Avenue and Pearl Street. The male, 23 year old Christopher James Davis, gave the officer consent to search him. The officer found four pills in Davis' right side pants pocket. A check of the markings on the pills showed them to be Xanax, a schedule 4 drug.

When asked about the pills, Davis said he had found the pants three days ago and did not know the pills were in the pocket.

Davis was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and booked into jail.
