An officer made contact with a female at Citizen Street and North Street who resembled someone who had an outstanding arrest warrant at 5:30 p.m. The woman told the officer her name was Aretha Graham, changing that to Aretha Peeples a few minutes later. when asked for her social security number, the woman said she could not remember it.

When asked if she had anything illegal on her, she admitted she had a used crack pipe in the right pocket of her sweater. She explained the pipe was not hers, saying she was just holding it for a friend.

The officer recovered the crack pipe and arrested her for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Later she told the officer her real name of Aretha Ann Durant, 39. This identity the officer was able to verify.

She was additionally charged with Providing a False Name and booked into jail. Jail personnel were also informed Durant had an outstanding arrest warrant out of Alachua County.
