Officers responded to a retail theft call at Tailgaters Sports Bar regarding a male who had walked out of the package store area with a bottle of liquor which had not been paid for at about 5:30 pm. the male left walking west on Cooks Lane toward Green Cove Avenue. Officers check ed the area, but could not locate the person.

Just after 7:00 p.m. the department received a call from an anonymous person saying the person who stole the liquor was Dwone Solomon.

Solomon, 32, was located at a house in the 1100 block of Center Street and detained until the clerk could be brought to the home. The clerk made a positive identification of Solomon as the thief.

During questioning, Solomon admitted to stealing the liquor and selling it to someone.

Solomon was arrested for Retail Theft and booked into jail.
