An officer observed a beige Ford SUV at the intersection State Road 16E and South Orange Avenue speeding. The vehicle began traveling on Green Cove Avenue. At the intersection of Anderson Street and Oakridge Ave an officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The officer observed the vehicle speeding and swerving within its lane. The vehicle refused to stop until it reached the Kangaroo at 1517 Idlewild Ave. Contact was made with the driver, Danny Hensley, 37, of Green Cove Springs. Upon contact the officer noticed Mr. Hensley's face was flushed and his eyes were bloodshot and watery. When Hensley spoke the officer noticed his speech was slurred. When asked if he had been drinking Hensley stated he had been drinking earlier. When asked where he was going he stated he was on his way to pick up his children.

Hensley was asked to perform field sobritey exercises and he stated he would participate. Hensley failed all excercises that were given. Hensley was placed under arrest and booked into jail. Hensley was also given a breath test with the results of .162%.
